Retired, Former President and CEO – Investors Group
Murray Taylor was trained as an actuary but through a 40 year career with the Power Financial Group of Companies served as President and CEO of Investors Group for his final 12 years retiring in May 2016. Murray counts among his greatest experiences activity he has been involved with that have helped others become strong in what they can and will do both in and outside of the workplace. In particular, his efforts together with others in his church community were involved in bringing several refugees to Winnipeg who were fleeing Burma in the 1990’s which started a wonderful friendship with new Canadians and many who followed in their footsteps. As to hobbies and interests, he enjoys reading and doing Sudoko to keep the mind sharp but generally these will be set aside if he and his wife Charlotte can encourage someone in their lives somehow.
The best gift is to sit back and watch others succeed.
